What was on screens a year ago: Seabrook, Texas, US from lil_m_moses
This truck had apparently spent some time in the water courtesy of Hurricane Ike, then been recovered and abandoned at the end of the row of fish markets (most of which were completely swept away by the storm and are back, in temporary buildings).

What was on screens a year ago: Kham District, Xieng Khouang Province, Lao PDR from chanphenglew
On Christmas Day, we visited UXO survivors whom we've helped through our project. This family is very poor - their house is falling apart. We're inviting families to attend a workshop on animal raising before giving grants to buy animals. Most of the families we've helped have been able to make a profit, buy more animals, and improve their lives.

What was on screens a year ago: Kichijoji, Tokyo, Japan from mini_kirsti
This is a sign for "Puchi" Road in Kichijoji. I think it's new - I hadn't noticed it before, and a lot of people were doing double takes as they walked over it.
